I am at home in the district of Amstetten and have been cultivating a forest garden and a mixed fruit plantation on our farm since 2010. Since about 2013 I have been more intensively involved in the propagation and cultivation of various woody plants and since then I also propagate perennial rye.

Since 2016 I have been working as an employee of BIO AUSTRIA NÖ/Vienna in education and consulting, and before that I was already on the road as an independent speaker and consultant. At BOKU Vienna, I graduated in "Agricultural and Environmental Sciences" (Bachelor) and "Agroecology and Social Ecology" (Master/Diploma). I have also undertaken numerous training and further education courses and am a certified fruit tree warden, herb educator and permaculture designer. One focus of my continuing education has been and continues to be agroforestry systems and permaculture. Since 2020, I have been a board member of ARGE Agroforst as well as part of the FIBL research project on agroforestry in Austria.

The diversity and possible uses of woody plants and perennial crops excites me and my goal is, among other things, to (re)integrate these woody plants and crops into the land(economy), as this offers benefits in many ways.

"The best moment to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best moment is now" (Chinese proverb).
